Friends, these days many apps and websites first set up an autopay/e-mandate for 1 rupee. They say only 1 rupee will be deducted for verification. But as soon as you allow it, the limit inside is set to 500, 1000, or 5000 rupees. Then every month, that amount is deducted from your account without informing you. The same thing happened to me. I allowed it thinking it was just 1 rupee. A request to all of you: 1. Always check the limit before allowing autopay. 2. Go to the autopay section of PhonePe, Google Pay, and your bank app to check which mandates are active. 3. Cancel or revoke immediately once the work is done.
