I'm posting this to help everyone out. I've been researching scams and found out that Bots are using robo-dialers to try phone numbers to see if they answer. If someone does, the bot waits 3 seconds to hear if anyone says anything. It may then connect you to a scammer or just hang up, logging you as a valid target. It is extremely important to note that you should NEVER say yes, okay, that's fine, sure, or anything of the like because of all the advances in AI voice cloning technology, they can take your voice and apply any of those positive phrases to be used as permission to do nefarious things like open up credit cards in your name, apply for a loan, buy a house, etc. I usually wait three more seconds to see if the other end of the line says anything themselves. If they don't, I hang up. because any of my friends or family who need to get in contact with me would not do that, neither would legitimate businesses contacting you because you asked them to. Do not be fooled if you sense that the person talking with you seems to impart a sense of urgency or importance in trying to get you to cooperate. Hanging up on someone is no longer rude or inconsiderate, it is necessary safety. Let's I'll be vigilant and help each other with these types of posts to create awareness and hopefully protect more people from getting scammed.

Trump's FCC is refusing to enforce the block on spoof numbers. that is what the problem is this was supposed to be for the large portion solved. carriers would block all spoof messages and calls coming through their system. I recommend sending the FCC a email and also a comment on their main page. if we get enough people complaining about this and enough people riled up, they will start enforcing it. tell your friends, make a comment about it on every social media account.

The AI voice cloning is a good point. Some businesses such as bank used your voice as a MFA but now people can use AI to clone your voice. I'm not sure if they are able to bypass the MFA but it should raise an alarm about the possibility of that happening. Be vigilant.

These random scam calls are getting out of hand. I don't know why they keep happening every day, but we do need to be alert at all times when it comes to scam calls.

Also, I'm pretty sure if You don't answer. They just keep calling. The only way to stop these calls, I think, is to pick up but put it on mute instantly. And they'll stop calling
