Almost a scam

Today I got a call from an unknown number. I answered, and the person on the other end knew my name. He spoke calmly, sounded professional, and said there was a “small issue” that needed to be confirmed immediately. For a second, I honestly thought it was real. But then he asked for a code that had just been sent to me by SMS. That was the moment I hung up. Posting this because it sounded completely convincing. If someone calls you, knows personal details about you, and asks for a code or private information — stop and verify before you do anything.
