Call Forwarding Scam

I received a voice call from mobile number [PHONE], with the caller falsely identifying himself as a representative of Blue Dart Courier. The caller stated that a delivery executive named "Venkat Reddy" was unable to contact me regarding a pending parcel delivery. The caller instructed me to dial a specific code on my mobile phone under the false pretext of connecting to the delivery executive through an internal system privacy feature. When questioned, the caller claimed this format was required to prevent the delivery agent from seeing my private mobile number. Shortly after the call, the suspect also sent a WhatsApp message from a business profile registered as "blue dart" from the same number ([PHONE]), instructing: "Call delivery boy Venkat Reddy. *21*[PHONE]#" Upon verification, the requested string *21*[PHONE]# is a telecom MMI/USSD code used to activate Unconditional Call Forwarding to the perpetrator's number ([PHONE]). Recognizing this as an attempt to hijack incoming calls and intercept sensitive one-time passwords (OTPs) and verification calls, I did not dial the code and blocked the caller.
