  Just go to help on WhatsApp and explain why your number got blocked. Include your name and the blocked number. They’ll get back to you and lift the block; it happened to me last year. I followed those steps and got unblocked. It's never because the app is fake.

  Am currently facing the same issue, I have reported it so many times and downloaded so called official app but the funny thing is,when I sign in WhatsApp on my phone I keep getting the above feedback but when another person number on my it works and also when I sign in on another person's WhatsApp on another phone it works... I have reported it so many times...

  it's not because the version is fake, it's because your account was suspected of scam activities. explain it to Whatsapp and if it sounds good, it'll be lifted
