Chines loan app proud and scam
Data Theft: Upon installation, the apps demand excessive permissions, accessing the user’s contact list, photos, and personal data. Predatory Lending: They charge extremely high interest rates, sometimes reaching 2,233% per annum, and massive processing fees. Harassment and Extortion: If a borrower delays payment—often within 7 days—these apps use the stolen personal data to harass, blackmail, and threaten users, including sending morphed obscene photos to their contacts. Money Laundering: The proceeds are often laundered through shell companies in India, cryptocurrency, and Dubai-Nepal-Havala networks.
