customer who wanted to scam

We are the owners of a furniture store where no advance payment is required to purchase furniture. A few days ago, a client contacted us who said his name was Luis Paulino. He stated that he wanted to buy a sofa bed priced at 450,000 colones. No advance payment was requested. We agreed on the furniture's characteristics and gave him the delivery date. On the delivery day, the furniture was taken to the Alajuelita area where he said he was almost there. An hour passed, then an hour and a half, and more time passed. He communicated saying he was almost there, but every time we spoke to him, it was always 5 more minutes. They left the place. We told him we would not lower the furniture anymore, but he said he really needed that beautiful sofa and asked to have it delivered the next day, saying he would make the deposit. He sent a deposit which was fake. We investigated a bit and found that he has been reported several times and also has a criminal record. So, be careful with this person and do not expose yourselves to any purchase without having the money in your account before delivery or better yet, block him immediately because we really do not know his intentions.
