scam by my older brother

My older brother called me on WhatsApp and sent me the number of someone I thought was my cousin, but I didn't know why he sent me that number because I already had my cousin's number. Then that person asked me to lend him money, to be exact €3000, and said he would pay me back, but he didn't. After that, he blocked me. My brother also stopped answering my messages and calls. Recently, we met in person at a family gathering, and I asked him what happened with that number, but he pretended not to know anything. I kept insisting until he also blocked me on WhatsApp.
