fake call for money

He called me and told me to receive a payment. Then I got a payment credit message: first 10,000, then 40,000. Then he said by mistake he sent 4,000; he was supposed to send 4,000. He told me to return it. Then while talking, I checked my account and found some credit. I told him it didn't come. He said NEFT will come. He asked which app I use, GPay or PhonePe. I said GPay. He told me how to do it, and I followed his instructions. First, he told me to enter the amount but not the PIN, he would do it from his side, then in the next step I should enter it. I refused and said let it come to me first, and I would call the person who asked me to make the payment. I told him to take my address; I won't go anywhere. If he is afraid of money, he can come here and take it. He started swearing by family, but I stuck to my point and he hung up. I tell you all, do not trust such phone calls. Check everything first and do not share details with them.
