DownloadFake SBI WhatsApp Security Alert Scam
Received a WhatsApp message claiming to be from State Bank of India (SBI) regarding a security alert for YONO SBI app update. The sender asked to click app update links. However, the number is not an official SBI number and Truecaller identifies it as โLikely Fraudโ. Multiple users have also reported it as a scam/phishing number. No personal information, OTP, or banking details were shared and no financial loss occurred. Reporting this number to help prevent fraud against other users.

Always go directly to web sites or tell them you are busy and ask which office they are in. Tell them you will look up the number and call them back. If it is important, they will leave a message. I never take calls unless I asked someone to call me.

i received the same message but the sender is from Official SBI only as earlier communication has been done through that number only
