Door scam

Message from the Ministry of the Interior: Dear citizens, for your information: Security services warning: Please note that a group of people posing as police officers is going door-to-door. They carry documents and forms bearing the Ministry of the Interior's logo and claim to verify the validity of identity documents of all residents and collect biometric data for a "population census." They appear respectable and may be wearing Ministry of the Interior uniforms. They claim they want to take your photo/fingerprint "as part of a program." They carry a laptop, a biometric device, and a list of residents. They show you this list and ask for all this information. We remind you that there is no such initiative from the government. Please do not provide your biometric data! Do not open the door! Do not let them into your home! Theft and fraud are possible! Do not provide any information without following official procedures from government agencies. Spread this message to all members of your community. Share it with your family and friends. Warn your elderly relatives and friends.
