Help
I got a call this morning asking about someone locked up that I didn't not know but they asked for me by name. Is this a scam? It came from a Restricted number. How could I find out who it really was?

I wouldn't worry about it that is how the scammers do just let it go. I have heard about that Scam, they would already have your name i don't answer restricted call they got their number blocked. You should never ever communicate with them scammers just don't answer the telephone number that is restricted because you don't know who the individual is or what their intentions are. evil no doubt..

Hello again. This is Richard Lewis Bradford. I am a senior mobile automation test engineer. Let me please describe to you this process of scam that you are being subjected to. What it generally is, is that the scammer is calling you to verify if they have the correct name of the person, regardless of the reasoning for which they're calling. They're calling to verify to see if you are the person on their list. Is it the correct phone number? Do they presumably have the right address? They'll give you some flamboyant excuse (for example, someone is in prison or someone is incarcerated) and ask, "Do you know this person?" They ask for you by name without knowing who you are initially. That should be your first response: "How does this person know who I am, and where did they get my number from, and why are they calling to verify me about someone that I do not know?" That's merely the tip of the iceberg. It's a process that they use. A scammer uses it to first call to verify who you are. The second call that you would get would be stipulating, "Oh, we need you to open and verify the name for this individual." If you don't know that individual, they need you to click this link to determine that you're not connected to that person, which is in itself a scam. It's a phishing link. It allows you to click on this link, an email link, or a system or network link. For a presumed county or jail, you click on the link. The link downloads a keylogger onto your phone, your laptop, or your tablet, whichever one you may be using. From there, it can keylog or grab the data that you type in. Subsequently, for any other number of applications, your banking applications, your email applications, your savings account, checking, whatever it may be, it will keylog that information and send the information back to the scammer in real time. Please be aware of these specific scams. You need to select a caller ID blocking application like TrueCaller or Caller ID Blocker, which usually works with the cool TrueCaller application. If you want a more profound application, I would suggest you get Cloaked. Cloaked is a much more powerful, more advanced application, or you can simply try a free application called Hangup. All these applications are available in the Google Play Store. Please try and select, and please let me know the end result. Thank you. Bye-bye.

If I got a call like that I'd tell them they had the wrong number and hang up. Then again I let my virtual assistant handle all calls from numbers not in my contacts and in almost all cases they just hang up. :^)
