Investment Scam

An investment scam is a type of fraud where someone tricks people into investing money by promising high or guaranteed returns with little or no risk. The scammer usually disappears with the money or uses funds from new investors to pay earlier ones (a Ponzi scheme). Example: "Invest $1,000 today and earn $10,000 in just one month with zero risk. Limited-time offer!" This is a major red flag because no legitimate investment can guarantee high profits without risk. How to protect yourself: Be skeptical of guaranteed or unusually high returns. Research the company and its registration before investing. Never feel pressured to invest immediately. Consult a licensed financial advisor if you're unsure.
