Loan scam calls linked to previous SIM owner, ongoing harassment

I would like to report a serious incident involving repeated scam calls, harassment, and OTP requests received on my mobile number. Today, I first received a call from an unknown number which was displayed as a “Scam” call, so I ignored it. I then received calls from two different numbers regarding a loan allegedly taken by the previous owner of my SIM card. My brother answered the call and explained that the previous owner was an old friend of his from 6–7 years ago, but we are no longer in contact with him. The caller started making irrelevant statements and unnecessarily connecting the person with our family. When we said we could not arrange a call with him, she threatened that I would receive around 1,000 calls every day. Immediately after this threat, I started receiving continuous calls from different numbers and multiple OTPs from various online shopping websites and stores. I had to temporarily disable my SIM to stop the harassment. Later, the caller contacted us again. This time, my brother directly answered and even connected the previous owner on a conference call. However, the caller refused to speak properly with him and could not answer even basic questions regarding the alleged loan. This clearly appears to be a scam and deliberate harassment. I am blocking every number, but calls continue to come from new numbers. Please never use any recycled number if you want to change the number.
