NEVER BOOK ONLINE PACKERS AND MOVERS

I was scammed by a Packers and Movers company that claimed they had been working in this business for the last 20 years. They told me that if I wanted a truck from Delhi, I had to pay an advance amount of ₹15,000. They said only after receiving the payment would they send the truck to my home for collecting my household items. Trusting them, I transferred ₹15,000. After that, I received another call from their agent. He told me that I had to pay an additional ₹7,500, and only then would they move the truck towards my home. Again, I sent ₹7,500, making the total payment ₹22,500. Later, the same person called me and said, “Sir, I am sending ₹15,000 back to your account because we are not operating through UPI. Kindly send your bank account details.” I shared my bank account details with him. After some time, he sent me a bank statement screenshot, which I later realized was fake and created by them. He claimed that the amount had been transferred through NEFT and that it would reflect in my account within 2 hours. At that point, I realized that I had been scammed. My suggestion is that never trust online calls whenever you hurry in your work take a time and search for offline packers and movers near your surroundings.
