⚠️ NEW SCAM ALERT: The Atome QR Code Modus (No OTP Needed!)

I was deceived by a scam caller who impersonated/claimed to be finance agent from Atome PH. During the call, the caller ask me whether my temporary credit limit had been already increased. To establish trust, the caller verified my complete personal details including my full name, complete home address and offered a credit limit increase that would reflect within 2 hours along with promotional freebies like umbrella, tumbler, and Atome tote bag to be shipped to my home. Relying on the caller's misrepresentations, I thought he was legitimate representative of Atome. He instructed me to open a link sent to my email address and scan the QR code contained therein, claiming that this process was necessary to increase my credit limit to Php 50,000. Immediately upon scanning the provided QR code, I observed an unauthorized debit from my Atome account transferred directly to PMP Lazada. Later on, my credit limit was not increase and then realized that I was being scammed. 😣 I personally confirmed the QR transaction, but I was deceived into doing so by a caller who falsely represented that the QR payment was required to activate/increase my Atome credit limit. I did not intend to purchase anything from Lazada and did not knowingly authorize a purchase. They manipulating you just to gain your trust so be careful about this kind of modus.
