Not Always a scam
My previous employer was for a tuxedo rental shop. part of the position required for us to get "leads" to share with the office. The information was provided personally to us& when business was slow we would call to setup appointments for potential customers that were engaged to be married. 6 out of 10 calls I made used an app like this and it made my job difficult at times. the customer & I would discuss me possibly contacting them but then I could never get through... Alot of engaged couples missed out on free tuxedo rentals bc our # had been labeled as "Spam." Just wanted to mention this hoping that ppl would be mindful of labeling legitimate businesses. If anyone calls you more than 3x in a week then maybe contact the # & tell them to quit calling..? (Not every caller is trying to rip you off) I don't work there anymore but I wish I would have had this app back then bc I probably would still be working there since ppl knew that I was legit. π

If your company was being flagged for spam I would request to do who the provider of these leads is and if they are not direct from the company based off of people who have submitted their phone number and information for a call to which you leave a message. But a lot of leads don't come from reliable sources and they're just purchased from other companies or databases that are collecting them based off of public information and interests not people who are actually wanting this information which is why it gets flagged for spam because it's an unsolicited phone call or text...
