I worked in the IT industry for a while so I have some skills but even with my background these scammers are getting bad. Every single online platform X, Facebook, Instagram, all of them. All of the dating sites all are infested with scammers. I have spoken to the police about it before but there isn't a whole lot they can do because they are usually in teams spread out across the world. Also, with AI out there images can't be trusted. If someone sends you a picture make sure to do a reverse image lookup on it as people steal images from others to do their scamming BUT it is coming from everywhere. I even recently caught a female US police officer doing A romance scam so I kindly informed her precinct. Be very careful and don't trust pictures. The best thing to do is have a video call with someone if you want to make sure it is them. Good luck!
