roses scam?

I was walking with my friends yesterday around at 10pm smth like that and we saw a rose stall. my friend went first to buy some for her, I didn't follow her to the stall i only stand nearby the stall. i was scrolling on my phone and looked back at the stall, I couldn't find her so I went to the flower stall to ask the seller if he seen my friend, when I wanted to speak he asked if I wanted flowers for free. who doesn't want free things? so I accepted it and the seller asked for my ig to give me more flowers in the future. then my friend came and I gave my ig, u walked away with my friend and asked her how much did she got charged for the bouquet of roses she said she got charged rm40 and I was stunned she got charged but I didn't. did my friend got scammed??
