Received a scam from some local number this is what they threatened Hello, this is not a sales or marketing call. This is a legal matter and final attempt to contact Raymond Madison. My name is Stephanie. I'm calling from the processor's office regarding file number 2025-54288. I'm contacting you to discuss the matter that has been forwarded to my office for consideration of legal action, including the filing of a lawsuit and complaint with the court. To further discuss these pending actions that may be filed against you, you will need to immediately contact the firm handling your file. That number is 888-236-[PHONE]. if it's a lawsuit they have to notify you with official documents from the court. peple need to seriously educate themselves and that's why these scammers get away with it. bf they target ignorant people. I've ACTUALLY been sued and I didn't even KNOW until COURT Paperwork came in the mail. please read ur startle laws.

try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. this ties up their time so that they cant scam other ppl and soon they will be out of business because of it. if its a text block and report the number. if its legal it wont be by text message. treat all calls as scams.

hang up and block, or depending on your state, tell them if they call again you'll be reporting them for harassment. works in tx.

laugh at them and hang up. Real companies don't use scare tactics like this. Never call the number back. Call the actual company phone, not what they show. Check the number online via Scam sites that track scams.
