Scammed through decluttering and yard sale

Last week I was scammed by someone who posted on Facebook that they were selling their household goods because they were relocating to Canada and the number whatsapp number for USA. I sent. I picked a gas stove and was asked to pay something for reservation which I did. Was told all items to be viewed and collected from Kingsland on Saturday and if I didn't like the item reserved, will be refunded. Friday, they were asking for 50% payment on the balance but I refused to pay. Saturday, there was no communication from the other end. Lost K1,000 just like that. People are devising new tricks everytime and it hard to tell these days 😭
