sextortion scam using morphed video from video call

I got matched with a Girl on the Dating / matrimonial app. after initial talks on the app, we exchanged numbers and got connected on WhatsApp. our conversation was going as per any one expects in a marriage setup. we had one voice call in the afternoon and it was all looking good and genuine. but then by evening things got dirty. the person(girl) started messaging which was really out of the line and said its because of alcohol influence. but i let my guard dow for a moment and thought its normal and will be okay.. and was casually chatting. then suddenly she blvideo called me where a faceless nude girl was there.. till the time i realised what is happening it was already late. i tried to disconnect the call as so as i figured what was going on. but after few moments, i recieved a morphed video of mine from that same girl.. but now the tone was changed. it was a male.! since i am from IT background i realized what they are trying to do, unfortunately enough info was shared with them in earlier call that they were able to figure out my social mefia accounts. Then came his blackmailing .. he started calling me continuously while also sending messages threatening to circulate the video to my friends while demanding money to settle down. They tried for half an hour! but as I said being an IT person, I kept my calm and tried not to have any further interaction with scammers, no attending calles nor responding to their messages even though I was tempted and triggered. i tried reaching out to cyber helpline but unfortunately it was late at night so it wasn't that helpful. So we ran to the nearest police station for help, while the calls and messages were still coming. we then raised a complaint in the portal and awaiting the action currently. but what i learnt from this experience is - 1. scammer dwell on your panic. if we do not give any leverage to them by not at all responding to them, they get annoyed and ultimately can't do much to us. they are just barking dogs who we need to ignore. 2. never in any case send money to these people. That's the onlything that matters. 3. Reach out to cyber police at the earliest, even if its at night, though a very little help might be provided but it would be crucial one. 4. in today's world people know whay a morphed video is, so don't worry its not ur fault, u are a victim! 5. also if u are a male, it might not at all matter many a times, no one is interested in any of their leaks, but do try to constraint it at the earliest so that in case it should not reaches out to ur friends. 6. Don't delete anything out of panic, rather keep the chat active but block the person and report user on the chatting apps.also take screenshots as much as possible and document those. will be helpful for ur case in future. Rest, be always careful and vigilant as much as possible, but in case if you get into such situations, do not panic or give into the demands of the scammer, simply try to ignore their barking and report to cyber police at the earliest
