New scam: Download the ANKI app

Facebook Announcement 🔴 Urgent and Very Important Security Warning for Baridi Mob Users ⚠️ A new and malicious method is being used for hacking, fraud, and account theft. Please read and share this post to protect your money: 📱 How does the scam and hacking happen? 1️⃣ You receive sponsored ads or SMS messages with links to download apps claiming to let you watch matches, movies, or channels without ads (currently popular: NexoTV and ANKI APK as shown in the attached image). 2️⃣ Once you download and install the APK app: your phone is hacked and controlled remotely, and you are shown a black screen as if the phone is "updating the operating system" (Mise à jour du système), frozen for 30 minutes to an hour. 3️⃣ During this time, the hacker accesses the Baridi Mob app on your phone, reads the OTP confirmation code sent via SMS without you noticing, and transfers money directly to another Baridi account up to 200,000 DZD (20 million centimes) maximum, then restarts your phone normally! 🛡️ The immediate and only solution to save your money: If you downloaded a suspicious app and your phone suddenly locks or shows a strange interface and you cannot control it: 👉 immediately and without hesitation remove the SIM card from the device! Without the SIM card, the OTP message will not reach the hacker, so they cannot confirm any financial transfer. ⚠️ Very important notes: The triple transfer method: stolen money is transferred to other people's accounts (usually active in trading, investment via Telegram, or P2P), and these people do not even know they are receiving stolen money! Be extremely cautious when buying and selling cryptocurrencies (especially USDT via P2P) to avoid falling into the trap of laundering stolen money and legal liability.
