I was there and I receive an OTP, immediately I saw it and I checked my balance and my money is gone, I called MTN and they were like I should've waited, three hours after receiving the OTP can I check my balance because by checking my balance that fast the person track my code

So sorry to hear this. Whenever you receive an OTP directed to your MoMo account of which you didn't request for, it means someone is trying to withdraw your money through the MTN app. A way to cancel it is that as soon as you receive it, deliberately enter a wrong password when checking your MoMo balance or wait for a few hours before you check.

i never check my balance. I look at my last transaction message to check my balance. be careful out there. what hurts is that these scammers steal from those who are struggling to survive. very heartless and wicked individuals.

Yeah someone tried that thing on me didn't notice until I searched why and I reported the person to my ISP
