Insurance fraud by pnb bank
i want to share an experience i had with pnb bank where i took a home loan way hack in 2014. I was told to take a single premium policy covering my home loan which i took. But i did not recieve my policy document & i forgot too that i paid for the policy. Later after almost 12 months or so.. when i had to submit loan statement for IT purpose, i saw my account debited for 1.05 lacs. On asking the pnb home loan people initially for almost 2 months they kept saying they will chk & let me know, but then they never. Later i found some nodal or grievance officers name, mumber & mail ID of pnb gurgaon HO where i sent atleast a dozen mails. Then i found out that the policy was issued to some1 unknown to me by mame Anjana soni, calcutta by debiting my account. After sending repeated mails to gurgaon HO, they reimbursed my payment of 1.05 lacs in 2 installments of 53k & 52k that too after almost 3 months of my repeated mails, calls etc.. that too at a nominal interest of savings bank. What if i had died.. & my family members were not able to pay home loan emi's, then pmb wud have thrown my family out of house saying defaulters. Not only that.. when asked local pnb bank home loan tram they used to speak very rudely, harshly when questioned about their mistake.. All in all.. no one from local pnb branch helped me, i had to find out numbers, mail ID etc.. to recover my payment. So my point is pnb home loan cheated me & were arrogant when questioned. I cud have easily filed a case in insurance or banking ombardsman, but the process was huge & time consuming which i cud not afford. Guys beware of such scams specially by pnb people.
