How many spam calls do you get?

We thought we’d share some fun stats and math with our dear US users today.

Did you know that 4,3% of all the calls you are receiving are spam calls? Thats 1 in every 23 calls you receive.
You receive on average 3 calls every day which would mean that every 7-8 days you receive a spam call.
Now lets say you spend 1 minute on average saying no thanks to these spam calls.
That’s not that much right? Let’s do the math:
From 2010, National Center for Health Statistics, December 2010 we get to know there are 302.9 Million mobile subscribers in the US.
Now concider every one of these gets one spam call every 8th day, how many minutes is that per year?

364 days every year
every 8th day you receive a spam call
each spam call is 1 minute
45.5 spam calls and minutes every year
45.5 * 302 900 000 subscribers = 13 781 950 000 (13 billion) minutes of spam, every year!
Now lets divide that by the number of minutes of every year… Thats right: 26 293 years (!) are spent Every single year on receiving what people deem as spam calls by US consumers!
